Total Investments Inc. (“Total”) is the founding company behind an assimilation of income producing commercial real estate investments and responsible for managing all assets of the co-mingled real estate fund. Total looks to find value for investors in the commercial real estate industry by uncovering and developing assets that offer the security of wealth preservation and capital growth, while delivering a strong annual yield to investors.
Total Investments Inc. as the founding company and asset manager will govern the operations of the retail strip centres. Total will continue to acquire more income producing retail strip centres, both community, neighbourhood and power centre, in an effort to grow, what we hope, will become the foundation to a private or public REIT as part of Total Investments Inc. Total REIT has been established for that sole purpose, and is currently contemplating operations that will commence in the next five years.
The intention is that Total REIT will raise funds privately or publicly, to buy each of the producing assets from the shareholders, and form a REIT, with asset objectives exceeding $150 million and revenue objectives starting with $20 million annually. The acquisition objectives are solely based on acquiring value assets with strong revenue. The shareholders then realize strong annual yield from operations (dividend), with equity appreciation through the growth in rental rates and capital markets (cap rate appreciation), and the sale of a consolidated group.
The operation of Total is handled by the principal shareholder of each property, Trevor Skinner, B.Comm, supported with Commercial Property Management services through independent groups in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and BC.
Trevor Skinner is responsible for all corporate governance, banking, leasing, investor relations and all other matters related to the ongoing operation of each company and its outside partners such as banking, legal & accounting.
Trevor Skinner Bio: Previously a commercial agent with Cushman & Wakefield Ltd., for the last 15 years, specializing in the negotiation of commercial real estate office and investment transactions, with the primary focus in the last five years on clients buying and selling commercial office space to suit their businesses, and clients looking to build and develop their own commercial offices. Previously on the board of directors for Labrador Technologies Inc. and Apex Pharmacies Inc., Mr. Skinner lends both specific commercial real estate transactional and development experience, along with corporate development guidance and governance as well.
A graduate of the business school (B.Comm) of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Trevor began his career in the property and casualty insurance industry, which brought him into the commercial real estate world. The commercial leasing and sales expertise of Trevor Skinner, coupled with his corporate experience and long term plans, forms the backbone and efficiencies to such ventures noted herein.
